Located on the Eastern precinct of Geelong city, the Elephant and Castle has been part of the dining and function scene in town for many years. Built in 1891, its 2005 redevelopment saw it surpass its competitors in terms of service, food and facilities.
Our functions are flexible and professional. The Beer Garden is a gorgeous alfresco space which is partially undercover while still enjoying the ambiance of a balmy evening. Red Gum furniture is surrounded by a hedge of cypress pine, while your private bar, heating and TV monitors add to the luxury.
Chink glasses under the big rearing wire elephant as the sounds of Geelong buzz in the background. This is your party!
If you are planning an after-party, we can arrange free entry into selected venues and a bus, free of charge to get you there. Either that or hang here in the Main Bar.

The Beer Garden reopens to the Public at 9.30pm, but there is a marquee available in the area that can be kept exclusive for private use until 11.30pm.
The venue can help arrange your after-party and provide a bus to get there. Easier still, head to the main bar for great music and dancing!
Underage policy
Underage guests are permitted until 1am, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.
