T42 Degrees South is affectionately known by locals as T42. It opened at Elizabeth Street Pier as a bar and restaurant in December 1997 and has since become an institution on Hobart's waterfront. It has won several awards since its inception.
Overlooking a working port, sip your drinks while you watch boating activity and even the possible visit by seals and dolphins! T42 is only a 5-minute walk from most major hotels, the CBD, Parliament House and Salamanca.
The unique and beautiful waterfront location is perfect for functions. Function Lounge and Alfresco provides you with exclusive use of a wonderfully refurbished and fully resourced cocktail bar with breathtaking water views.
The smaller loungey area at the end of the bar is perfect for guests to relax and get in the party mood. Outdoor waterside seating adds further versatility and stunning alfresco ambience to your bash.

The listed minimum spend covers 70 people. If you have more than 70 guests (up to 120), the minimum spend increases to $4400 and includes the extra outdoor space.
Underage policy
Underage guests are permitted until 10pm, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.
