About the function space

Conveniently situated on the corner of Intake and Kamerunga Roads Redlynch, The Red Beret Hotel is often referred to in typical friendly fashion by locals as the Red Hat or just The Hat.

The historic venue has undergone many facelifts whilst maintaining the iconic Queenslander feel that makes it a true Far North Queensland hotel.

Upstairs in what once housed the original lodging rooms, you will find the Madisons Rooms 1 and 2, complete with a central exclusive bar, wrap around balcony and all the trimmings for your next party. It also boasts a lift, courtesy coach and disabled bathrooms.

Standard room decor that is included in room hire is: linen, tables, chairs, a variety of organza sashes as table runners, cocktail table covers and a coloured sash, candles and basic centrepieces. You are more than welcome to come in and decorate the room on the day and add any personal touches.

Chair covers are available for an additional $2 each, and the venue can add a coloured band or sash for an extra $1 per chair. Helium balloons are $16 per arrangement, each arrangement consisting of 6 balloons.

Minors must wear a wristband (supplied by us) at all times.

Underage policy

Underage guests are permitted until 10pm, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.
