Inside the Eastern Hotel, your South American host El Topo Basement is throwing open the doors to the place where the only rules are to enjoy great rum, food, cigars and dancing.

Influenced by Latin American heritage, El Topo is bursting with movement, colour and fun, mixing sultry charm with a loud carnival vibe.

The rum collection exceeds more than 100 sourced from Central and South America through to Jamaica and the Caribbean.

The Jack Shack room within El Topo is a cool, couchy lair where you can entertain with the hospitality and charm that would make any South American proud. The bar is very closeby, ensuring nobody goes thirsty.

There is also a very accessible patio for smokers and seekers of night air.

After 10pm weekends the entry cost is $10 for all guests. However you are welcome to stay there or break out from the Jack Shack when your function is finished and enjoy the vibe in the El Topo nightclub. Jack Shack resides within El Topo, so your after-party will be waiting to burst into action.

We have a 1.30 am lockout but are open until 4am if the bar is still active, so hang about and have fun!
