About the function space

We're situated on the leafy Bayswater Road in Sydney's Kings Cross in a historic four-storey Victorian terrace. The grand old building was once an extravagant bordello, a gambling den and the offices of INXS. Today it stands transformed as Sydney's most charismatic bar and nightclub experience – a preferred palace of perennial partying, The World Bar.

We're also literally world famous for our Teapot™ Cocktails, a beverage designed for sharing amongst like-minded reprobates, in shots poured from the spout of a teapot. If you haven't tried one, we imagine they'll cross your path soon enough. Like Kings Cross itself, we at The World Bar hope to embody art, mischief, music, and pride ourselves on being an LGBTQI+ safe space.

Not only can we offer the Tea Room, but have multiple rooms (that can be combined) with all services available to make your party hosting experience a breeze.
