Established in 1857 during the heady Victorian gold rush era, The Oxford Scholar Hotel served the area for more than 160 years.
Now situated in the heart of the RMIT City campus, the 'Scholar' has been given a modern new lease of life.
With the creation of a series of bar, dining and event spaces, The Scholar offers a relaxed yet sophisticated function experience.
The in-house menu selections are built upon locally sourced and fresh produce, offering delicious seasonal choices.
The Atrium at the back of the venue is a versatile and well equipped function space, with decor that is warm yet industrial. Think big slate tiles, exposed bric and timber walls, vaulted ceilings and stunning lighting.
It has access to the rear section of the large central bar in the venue.
