About the function space

Woolloongabba's heritage listed pub has been a landmark on Annerley road for over a century. The hotel was first built in 1890 and later known as the Red Brick, not because of the hotel's exterior, but the red 10 pound notes (or 'bricks') that were used by the bookies when settling bets in the public bar.

Red Brick is much more civilised these days, and hosts a fabulous function. The exclusive top floor mezzanine level is available for all kinds of parties. It can be transformed into a relaxed lounge type function with couches and booths, a stand up cocktail do with high bars and stools, a boardroom style or dining. With high attic-style ceilings and wooden floorboards, it has great ambiance and an airy, spacious feel.

A pool table is available for your event if desired, or it can be covered over for gifts, a photo board, nibblies or whatever you fancy!
