About the function space

Convict-built in 1827 only 20 years after the settlement of Hobart, this popular local is a historic part of Tasmania's history.

Although it originally ran as an underground booze shop called Brunswick Wine Vaults, by 1831 it was trading under its current name, and stands proud as the oldest example of the many drinking venues that once crowded Liverpool Street over a century ago.

Refurbished with fresh warm decor, The Brunswick is a stunning backdrop for any party. The front bar is a great area warmed by an open fire in winter. Its Back Couch Area is sectioned off for you, ensuring privacy while still enjoying the great Brunswick vibe.

Eats are made in-house, and easy access to the main bar ensures that your guests are all well refreshed and ready to party.
