About the function space

How about hosting your function at the site of 'The Great Bookie Robbery' back in 1976? Turf Bar is conveniently located in the heart of the city, and its Victorian style fit-out and warm feel make it a comfortable and relaxed venue for a private party or corporate function. We host lots of birthday celebrations so if you are in the mood to celebrate let us know.

The restaurant area is elevated and surrounded by an elegant barrier to maintain your privacy. Featuring sports memorabilia on the walls, the space is available for both stand-up cocktail drinks as well as sit-down dinners, and tables can be set up or removed as desired. The open kitchen adds character for sit-down functions.

Our chef-prepared, restaurant finger food will have your guests salivating. Pure deliciousness in every bite.

The bar is shared and external to the area, but is just a few short metres away. The last photo shows the stunning timber bar.

There are no hassles with your music in the Restaurant Area, with the following being played to your benefit:

Fridays: Party night! Enjoy the acoustic duo from 5pm, rocking into a DJ from 9pm until late playing Dance, Commercial, 80s and 90s. The band/DJ are situated in the area immediately adjacent to your party, so make some requests, kick back and kick on!

Saturdays: Live sports commentary generally plays. When there is no sport on, the in-house Nightlife system plays Dance, Commercial, 80s and 90s hits.

The sound from these will play in the Restaurant Area.
