About the function space

Ideally situated in the heart of the city across from Parliament House and right on the waterfront, Hotel Darwin has been party central since 1940.

The room comes with a shiny metal bar, wooden dance floor and fabulous assorted furniture including high top tables and chairs. There is heaps of space to mingle, drink, lounge and dance. Party food is made fresh on the premises, ensuring fresh delivery to your soiree.

On Fridays and Saturdays a DJ and band set up in this very room at 9pm when we open our doors to the public. Stick around and enjoy your party as it accelerates into the night.

Weekends 9pm-close: Entertainment kicks off in the Function Room including a DJ playing your favourite dance floor hits and a cover band doing some sets to keep the party rolling. No need to go anywhere, just hang about and enjoy the tunes. You can also head to the adjacent beer garden for a solo performer and some mixed retro and current tracks.

Underage policy

Underage guests are permitted until 10pm, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.
