Partystar Review
Established in 1867, this hotel was originally called the Ice Hotel due to the area's involvement in early local ice production.
In 1900 it was renamed The Beauchamp Hotel after an Englishman, William Lygon, Earl of Beauchamp and NSW Governor of NSW. Amidst controversy he was later outed as a homosexual, a criminal offence at the time; and he went into exile.
Thankfully his legacy remains, with cold beer, good food and friendly service.
